Waterloo House, a Sugar Land, Texas based publishing company, is asking the public for copies of correspondence sent home from the Texas men and women in uniform who served the United States in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Waterloo House intends to publish a book of letters and emails sent to families, friends and loved ones that will help remind America of the great sacrifices that have been made by the brave men and women who answered America’s call. Publication date for the book is set for July 4, 2008.

“America should hear their words,” said Elizabeth Hueben, publisher. “Not the words of a correspondent or a politician but their words. And through their letters home, we will get to know them as if they were a friend, a neighbor, a son, a daughter.”

Hueben, the mother of a Marine who served in Iraq and returned safely to Texas, added, “We also hope the book will offer comfort to those families whose loved ones will never return home.”

All submissions will be considered. Waterloo House will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the every book to Fisher House ™.
